ASTM A53 is the ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) standard specification for medium carbon steel pipes for seamless, welded and galvanized galvanized pipes. It covers a size range from 10.3 mm (1/8 inch) to 660 mm (26 inches) outside diameter.
Thus ASTM A53 Gr B black carbon steel pipes are able to be manufactured as seamless, welded or hot-dipped nominal grades for bending, flanging and other special operations.
These A53 Gr B carbon steel round pipes are made of the main alloying components of chromium, nickel, sulfur, copper, manganese and molybdenum. ASTM A53 Gr B S-type pipes also have good mechanical properties with a minimum yield strength of 240MPa and a minimum tensile strength of 415MPa.
